Yesterday, I was driving an almost eleven year old to a cat cafe birthday party and we were talking about how when someone doesn’t tell you what they want you to do and then get mad at you for not doing the thing - that it’s not your fault. “Yeah, I know,” she said, like it was the most obvious thing in the world. “Oh good,” I said, “because I didn’t know until I was very much an adult.”
THIS was exactly what I needed to read this morning. As so often as mujeres, we are taught to be demure, and not take up space. But then anything that takes up space.. MATTERS!
